The app

Earshot records nothing, uploads nothing, and has no account to sign in to. Speech recognition and synthesis both run on your Mac against models kept in your own home directory. Your audio and your transcripts never reach us, because there is no path by which they could.

The app makes two kinds of network request on its own: downloading those models the first time you need them, and asking whether a newer version has been released. Neither carries anything about you.

This website

No analytics, no advertising, and no cookies beyond what a checkout needs while it is open.

If you buy a licence we keep your email address, which plan you bought, and the key we issued, so it can be sent to you again. Payment is handled by Stripe and card details never reach us. Email is sent through Resend. Ask us to delete your record and we will; the key itself keeps working, because it verifies offline and nothing here is consulted when it does.
